an october slow living r.e.p.o.r.t.
October is my absolute favorite, so there’s plenty to make note of in this month’s report. Let’s get into it, shall we?
R (reading)
I spontaneously decided to read Incidents Around the House because my friends were also reading it and October seemed like the perfect time to pick it up. Whew, I am so glad I did. It was the perfect spooky read. A book that genuinely freaked me out for most of the story (which is a really good thing imo).
E (eating)
Nothing beats a s’more on a chilly autumn evening. Somehow, I found the perfect ingredients for this simple recipe (cause with all simple recipes, the magic is in the ingredients!): Partake graham crackers, Good and Gather marshmallows, and Tony’s Chocolonely milk chocolate.
P (playing)
During our weekend trip to a tiny house on a farm, we picked up a copy of Murdle and it was an absolute blast! I personally think it’s a fun and accessible game of murder-mystery solving. Not too challenging, but challenging enough!
O (obsessing)
I think we should all give this one up to fall foliage. As someone who is lucky to experience fall foliage every year here on the northeast, it never gets old. It’s always breathtaking, memorable, and special.
R (recommending)
Pay your local museum a visit! If you don’t have one nearby, take a road trip and find one! You’d be surprised at how much fun you’d get out of a day, even if it’s at a museum you don’t necessarily think you’d love.
T (treating)
There were plenty of treats this October. From our wedding anniversary to Ian’s birthday and spooky season, it was a lot of fun. As always. Some standout treats were pancakes and coffee at one of our favorite local spots, visiting the Met, and getting myself a new vlogging camera!
Talk to you in November :)
